Parañaque City Gov’t.Turns over New SHS Building to Masville National High School

Another milestone was unlocked for Masville National High School (MNHS) as it officially received the new Senior High School (SHS) building in Silangan Site, Masville last Oct. 22, 2021.
“Para sa bata, para sa bayan….”
Amidst the pandemic, this milestone proved that nothing will hinder the local government of Parañaque from continuing its promise to make education accessible for the young learners in the community.
Hon. Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez officially turned-over of the symbolic key of the new SHS building to MNHS Principal II, Ms. Gina N. Zapico.
Along with the city mayor are other local officials of Parañaque who also played important parts in the realization of the project. They were: Hon. Eric L. Olivarez, 1st District Representative, Hon. Joy Myra Tambunting, 2nd District Representative, Hon. Vice Mayor Rico T. Golez,Councilor Tess De Asis, Councilor Jovan Esplana, Councilor Binky Favis, and Councilor Beng Amurao.
Dr. Evangeline, P. Ladines, SDO-Parañaque Schools Division Superintendent, also witnessed the significant event for MNHS and its community. She was with Dr. Violeta M. Gonzalez, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent.
The PTA president, Homeowners Association representatives and other stakeholders also attended the program,for they knew that their children would benefit most in the project.
The Senior High School teaching force of MNHS were also present during the program. Mr. Melchor L. Codon, Master Teacher I and SHS focal person, Mr. Ariel M. Tagnipez, HUMSS coordinator, Mr. Kemze Amores, Mrs. Arlene E. Uy, Ms. Rosh Paycana, Mrs. Amelita P. Infante, and Mr. Emmanuel Taip (all SHS teachers) joined the remarkable event for MNHS.
Junior High School admin. staff, coordinators, and teachers also participated in the program. Spotted during the event were: Mrs. Hilda O. Bennet (TLE Head Teacher III), Mrs. Ruby Ana S. Oloroso (ESP Coordinator), Mr. Vernie T. Bernal (AP teacher), Mrs. Kristina Bernal (Math teacher), Mrs. Arlene A. Palec (Grade 8 coordinator), and Mrs. Anjanet T. Villanueva (TLE teacher).
Mr. Garry Guijarno, JHS ESP teacher, led the opening prayer.
Mrs. Aiko E. Templa, JHS TLE teacher, was the master of ceremonies of this blessed event in the history of MNHS.
Meanwhile, Dr. Fe A. Menciano, Head Teacher III/MAPEH Department, introduced the guests.
Ms. Gina N. Zapico expressed her gratitude for the construction of the new building which could help a lot of parents and learners, so that no more learners would be left behind. The SHS building is located just within the community.
Mayor Olivarez also gave a short message during the ceremony. It went like this:
“This is not an expense of the city, but rather an investment… Dahil lahat ng ga-graduate na mga bata, they will become the future leaders of the city,” Mayor Olivarez said.
Mr. Codon also spoke, and gave his assurance that the school will take care of the new building.
“Makakaasa po kayong aming iingatan at pagyayamanin ang gusaling ito upang patuloy na maging lugar sa paghubog ng ating mga kabataan sa kanilang mga talino, ugali at kakayanan upang ng sa gayo’y maging mga responsableng mamamayan ng Paranaque!” Mr. Codon said, during his short speech.
Mrs. Bernal spoke,too,and expressed good wishes for the new milestone, in this way:
“I hope that these new classrooms would provide a better learning environment for students…for them to be inspired …to reach their highest potential as learners…” Mrs. Lani Bernal, AP Head Teacher III, said before the program ended.
Be assured,everyone, that the MNHS family will do their best ,by God’s grace, so that they can preserve and protect this precious gift for their learners . Thus, travel time and fare wouldn’t be a problem, anymore, for the students and their parents when face-to-face classes resume in the near future.
