The School Governance Council (SGC) of Masville National High School (MNHS) in Brgy. BF Homes, Parañaque City, was officially established during School Year 2022–2023 under the visionary leadership of former principal Dr. Gina N. Zapico, Principal II.
During its initial pilot implementation among secondary schools, the Council operated through its foundational ex-officio members, led by Mrs. Ruby Ana S. Oloroso (Overall Guidance Coordinator) as the Designated Co-Chair representing internal stakeholders, alongside the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) President, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) President, and the Faculty Club President.
Following the issuance of DepEd Order No. 26, s. 2022 (Policy Guidelines on the Establishment of School Governance Council), an election was conducted to identify both Voting and Non-Voting Council Members. This expanded structure ensured that stakeholders from diverse backgrounds—encompassing both internal educators and external community leaders—were fully and equitably represented.
On October 30, 2025, Masville NHS earned special recognition from the DepEd National Capital Region (NCR) during the TALEX (NCR Technical Assistance and Learning Exchange), where it was honored as the only functional SGC in the Division of Parañaque City.
Today, the SGC continues its institutional mandate and community partnership under the leadership of current Principal Dr. Marylene P. Salvatera, EdD.
